    This postcard was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.

    On the front of this vintage comic postcard is a cartoon featuring a Jack Russell Terrier carrying a bottle of booze, a celebratory balloon and hanging onto a wall.  This dog is SOUSED!  Under the cartoon is the following caption:   “LUCKY THAT TOMORROW IS SUNDAY”.    On the back is a handwritten name,  an address in the Netherlands, a Netherlands stamp and a 1958 postmark.    This postcard
    was originally made in Germany.  Around the perimeter is a lovely scalloped edge.
    Measurements are approximately: 3.5″ x 5.5″ so this is a  standard size postcard.   Aside from only a few signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
